Job Title: Temporary Design and Technology Teacher

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant Design and Technology health and safety courses or qualifications required

Are you an experienced and qualified Design and Technology teacher with a strong emphasis on health and safety in the workshop? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Design and Technology Teacher to join our vibrant team in Hackney.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Design and Technology lessons, covering a range of areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Electronics.
Ensure the implementation of health and safety measures in the workshop, emphasizing the importance of safe practices to students.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles, fostering a creative and dynamic learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development in Design and Technology.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and enhancement of the Design and Technology curriculum.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant activities.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Relevant qualifications or courses in Design and Technology health and safety.
Proven experience teaching Design and Technology, with a strong emphasis on workshop safety.
Knowledge of a range of Design and Technology specialisms (Resistant Materials, Graphics, Electronics, etc.).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering students’ creativity, technical skills, and a strong awareness of health and safety practices.
