Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Berkhamsted

Location: East of England, Hertfordshire, Berkhamsted

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: H2 – actual salary £16,769 per annum

This position is a permanent, part-time position, working 30 hours per week, term time only (Monday – Friday 08:45-15:15).

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering educational activities
• Assisting with the preparation of learning materials
• Providing support to individual students or small groups
• Helping with classroom management and discipline
• Supervising students during activities and breaks

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar role is desirable

Education:

• No specific educational requirements

Experience:

• Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
• Punctual and reliable
• Inspirational and able to show initiative
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional qualifications in education or child development

Working Conditions:

• Full-time hours on a contract basis
• Working in a Catholic Primary School and Nursery in Berkhamsted
