About the Role

Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Southport.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to develop your experience within education, we would love to hear from you.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support pupils both academically and pastorally, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students.

• Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and engaged with their learning.

• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required.

• Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.

• Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff.

• Providing general support to the classroom teacher and wider school team.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Passionate about working with young people.

• Reliable, patient and approachable.

• Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.

• Able to build positive relationships with students.

• Enthusiastic about education and supporting learning.

• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable, but not essential.
