Choice Teachers is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Salford. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives, whether you have a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or valuable transferable experience working with children and young people.
We have a variety of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, part-time and full-time roles, with flexibility to suit your availability.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
- Build positive relationships with children, promoting confidence, engagement and independence.
- Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Help manage behaviour effectively and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Support children with additional needs, social, emotional and behavioural challenges where required.
We Would Love To Hear From You If You Have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or
- Experience working with children and young people in education, residential care, youth work, support work, sports coaching, childcare, mentoring or similar settings.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- The ability to adapt to different school environments.
- Experience supporting children with SEND or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential).

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience working with children or young people that can be referenced.
- Two professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
