About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Supply Teacher of Science to join our team, serving secondary schools in the Lewisham area. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to work on a flexible basis, supporting students in their Science studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Follow school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
- Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback.
- Adapt to different school environments and work effectively with existing staff.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure all students are on task.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
- Ability to travel within a 1-hour radius of Lewisham.
