Role: Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Start Date: September (academic year start)
Contract: Part-time, initially for one term, with potential to become ongoing
Key Stages: Primarily A Level, with some GCSE Spanish
Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Spanish teacher to join a secondary school for the autumn term, with the possibility of the role continuing beyond this. The successful candidate will teach mainly A Level Spanish, alongside some GCSE classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Spanish lessons at A Level and GCSE
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations, with a strong focus on A Level attainment
- Use adaptive teaching strategies to support learners of varying abilities
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress
- Maintain positive behaviour management and build strong rapport with students
- Contribute to departmental planning and resources where appropriate
Requirements:
- QTS (or working towards) with Spanish specialism
- Proven experience teaching A Level Spanish (essential)
- Experience teaching GCSE Spanish (desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge and fluency in Spanish
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to start in September
