SEND Teacher – Hornchurch

Choice Teachers are delighted to be supporting a welcoming school in Hornchurch who are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to work 1:1 with pupils who require personalised support. This position will commence immediately after the Easter break and will continue through to the end of the school year.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver tailored teaching and interventions to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with colleagues to adapt learning and create an inclusive, supportive environment. This role will involve focused 1:1 work with pupils who have:
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
- Communication and interaction difficulties
Essential Requirements
Applicants will only be considered if they have:
✅ Proven experience teaching or supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication & interaction needs
✅ Experience delivering individualised learning and adapting the curriculum
✅ Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
✅ A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND teaching experience
