Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream secondary school in St Albans from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs

Support teachers in delivering tailored lessons and inclusive classroom activities

Help develop students’ confidence, independence, and social skills

Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to support EHCP outcomes
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools or other settings)

A caring, patient, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A desire to make a positive difference in young people’s lives
Desirable (but not essential):

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience working in a secondary school setting
