Part-Time Science Teacher – Alternative Provision School in Peterborough
We are seeking a committed and experienced Science Teacher to join our partner alternative provision school in Peterborough for one day per week. This role offers an opportunity to inspire and support students with additional needs in a highly rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges to achieve their potential.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with staff to provide holistic support for students.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience teaching Science, ideally at KS3/KS4 levels.
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse learning needs.
- Experience in working with students with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviors (desirable).
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to student wellbeing.
