Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Start Date: After May Half Term (June 2025)
Salary: £150–£210 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
A secondary school in Hemel Hempstead is looking to appoint a passionate and engaging Science Teacher to start after May half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school community where learning is at the heart of everything they do. The position will involve teaching general Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the support of a well-established department and excellent resources.
This full-time role is ideal for a qualified teacher looking to inspire students and deliver dynamic and inclusive Science lessons in a respectful, forward-thinking learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.

Engage and inspire learners through practical and theoretical teaching.

Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school life.

Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment where all students thrive.
Essential Qualifications & Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting.

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
