Long-Term Science Teacher – Stevenage
Are you a passionate Science Teacher seeking a long-term opportunity to make a real impact? Our partner school in Stevenage is looking for a dedicated educator to join their team and teach KS3 and KS4 Science.
The Role:

Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4, with potential KS5)

Location: Stevenage

Start Date: ASAP or September 2024

Contract: Long-term, full-time

Teaching Focus: You will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16), delivering a curriculum that covers Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Provide high-quality differentiation to meet the needs of students at various levels

Assess, track, and report on student progress

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Prepare students for GCSE Science exams with engaging and supportive revision techniques

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student success

Ensure the classroom environment is well-organised and conducive to learning
Requirements:

Preferably QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science

Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students

A passion for developing students’ scientific understanding and encouraging their curiosity
