Science Teacher – Full-Time Position (Wigan)
Choice Teachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time role at a Good-rated OFSTED secondary school in Wigan, starting immediately after Easter This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in the world of science. For the right candidate, there is potential for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the Key Stage 3 & 4 National Curriculum.

Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and scientific exploration.

Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.

Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Encourage participation in extracurricular science activities, including clubs, competitions, and field trips.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student learning.

Stay updated with the latest developments in science education, incorporating new technologies and teaching methods.
Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (required).

PGCE with QTS or QTLS (required).

Proven experience teaching science at the secondary school level in the UK.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to the school community.
