KS3 & KS4 Qualified Science Teacher (All Specialisms)

Position: KS3 & KS4 Science Teacher
Specialisms: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Location: Hemel Hempstead

Are you a passionate Science teacher looking to inspire the next generation of scientists? Do you have the ability to teach across all three science disciplines at KS3 and KS4?

Choice Teachers are working with a Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead who seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Science teacher who can deliver engaging and effective lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential, and preparing them for their GCSE examinations.

Full clean driving lisence is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across all specialisms (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for success.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A relevant degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching all three sciences to KS3 and KS4, with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for students.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements at GCSE level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring students and fostering a lifelong interest in Science.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience or interest in extracurricular Science activities (e.g., clubs, STEM outreach).
  • Ability to incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • A commitment to your own professional development and a willingness to contribute to wider school initiatives.
  • Full clean driving lisence is preferred.
