Salary: £160 – £228 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:

Choice Teachers is working with this school to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to cover maternity leave and join their committed team. The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in an engaging and creative manner.

  • Plan and deliver interactive, play-based lessons to support early development.

  • Assess and track children’s progress, identifying individual learning needs.

  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support learning and well-being.

  • Encourage early literacy, numeracy, and social skills through structured and free-play activities.

  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development in their first years of education.

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide the best possible support.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in an Early Years setting.

  • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
