Summary:
Choice Teachers are delighted to be working with a fantastic secondary school in South West London that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher on a permanent basis.
The school is looking to secure the right candidate for a January 2027 start, although there is potential for the successful applicant to begin from September 2026 for the right person.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious Science department within a school that values high-quality teaching and staff development. The successful candidate will be passionate about Physics, committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students, and able to inspire a love of science across the school.
Main Duties:
As a permanent member of the teaching team, you will be responsible for all duties associated with a full teaching position, including:
- Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons
- Marking and assessment
- Monitoring and tracking student progress
- Attending parents’ evenings
- Participating in departmental and whole-school meetings
- Writing reports and contributing to the wider school community
- Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
About you:
- Must hold QTS
- Be able to quickly build a strong and professional rapport with pupils
- Must be dynamic in the classroom
- Have strong communication skills
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to teach Physics at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is essential
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards work
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
