Job Title: English & Maths Tutor
Location: SouthWest London
Rate of Pay: £30ph
Type: QTS English or Maths Teacher only
Summary:
Choice Teachers has a very exciting and unique opportunity for QTS English Teachers for a permanent Tuition role. This position is weekends only and has guaranteed hours paid as a salary.
We have an excellent client in Southwest London looking for a QTS English Teacher, holding the highest standards of professionalism and classroom ethics.
Main Duties:
- Deliver excellent, engaging and effective lessons in English and Maths
- Students will be aiming to pass the 11+ to gain entry into Grammar Schools
- Effectively deliver the general teaching programmes in Key Stage 3
- Ensure safeguarding of all pupils is of the highest priority
- Deliver classes to the highest standards
- Manage and maintain classroom behaviour effectively
- Adapt quickly to different pupil needs
- Provide advise for parents on the best way to support their child’s learning
- Attend and contribute to teacher meetings
About you:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must
- Recent classroom experience in the UK
- Experience in teaching in schools that prepare pupils for 11+ selection processes or a grammar school
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Act as a role model to students
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning climate
- Strong commitment to supporting positive student outcomes.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards work
