The school puts children at the centre of everything they do. They are a community school where pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community can grow and learn. It has a diverse community which enables children to celebrate their cultural diversity with over 50 different languages spoken throughout the school.

The school is situated in the centre of Watford in a beautiful building. The school building was opened over 100 years ago. It is one of the oldest in Watford and has always been used for the education of children.

Job Description:

As a Primary Teacher at our Watford-based Primary School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to Year 1 students. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons according to the school curriculum
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student development
  • Participating in school events and extracurricular activities

Required Qualifications:

– Degree in Education or relevant field
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is required for this role.

Experience:

Prior experience teaching primary school students is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

– Excellent communication skills
– Enthusiastic and engaging teaching style
– Flexibility and adaptability in the classroom
– Punctuality and reliability
– Inspirational approach to teaching
– Initiative to innovate teaching methods
– Passion for educating young learners

Preferred Qualifications:

– Additional certifications in Special Education or Early Years Education
