About the Role:
Choice Teachers is partnering with warm and nurturing nurseries in the Hemel Hempstead area, searching for passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses. If you love working with young children, value early years education, and have a keen interest in outdoor play and hands-on learning, this role is perfect for you!
This position requires availability Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities for a Nursery Nurse in Hemel Hempstead:
- Plan and execute age-appropriate, engaging, and educational activities.
- Monitor and document children’s progress, addressing developmental needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support children’s personal care needs, including feeding, changing, and toileting.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to maintain effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and daily activities.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies to ensure child well-being.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining a stimulating learning environment.
- Work as part of a collaborative team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues.
Requirements for the Role:
- Qualifications or experience in Early Years Education
- Valid and up-to-date DBS check or willing to obtain a new one
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Excellent knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in an early years setting is preferred
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Additional training or certifications in Early Years Education.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
