Choice Teachers are working with a secondary school in Harpenden who are looking for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher. This is a temporary position for one year, beginning in October 2024 (Mon/Tues; Thurs/Fri).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
• Provide individual and group instruction to help students develop their musical skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
• Maintain and care for musical instruments and equipment.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay current with developments in music education and integrate new techniques and technologies into the curriculum.

Qualifications:

• QTS
• Proven experience teaching music at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance.
• Proficiency in playing and teaching multiple musical instruments.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

(Full clean driving lisence is preferred)

To be considered you must have:

• DBS Certificate on the update service or be able to apply for one
• Two professional references
• Right to work in the UK.

Having the relevant experience is mandatory
