Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Start Date: After Easter 2025
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
Choice Teachers is looking for a passionate and committed Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving school in Hemel Hempstead from after Easter 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage and inspire students, helping them build strong mathematical skills and confidence in the subject.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the UK Maths curriculum, delivering high-quality lessons that cater to different learning abilities. You will play a key role in fostering problem-solving skills and a positive approach to mathematics.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5.

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that challenge and support all learners.

Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies to support individual development.

Create an environment where students feel motivated and confident in their mathematical abilities.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods.

Contribute to departmental meetings, school activities, and extracurricular programmes.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement.
Essential Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.

Previous experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.

Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths.

Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Maths.

Understanding of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation techniques.

Additional certifications or training in Maths education.
