Long-Term Maths Teacher – Hertford
We are looking for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our partner school in Hertford for a long-term position starting in September 2025. If you’re passionate about inspiring students to excel in mathematics and foster a love for the subject, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The Role:

Position: Maths Teacher (KS3 & KS4, with potential KS5)

Location: Hertford

Start Date: September 2024

Contract: Long-term, full-time

Teaching Focus: You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (ages 11-16), and there may be an opportunity to teach KS5 for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics, covering both Number and Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability

Teach GCSE Maths, preparing students for their exams with high-quality resources, assessments, and revision support

Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive lessons

Assess, track, and report on student progress to help guide their academic journey

Create a positive and motivating classroom environment

Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department to share best practices and enhance student learning
Requirements:

Preferably QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths, with experience at KS5 desirable

A passion for helping students develop their mathematical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire students in a dynamic and engaging way
