Are you a current Lecturer – Maths looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking college?
We’re supporting a local college who are recruiting for a Lecturer of Maths to join their team on a full time contract.
The salary scale for this role is £20-£28 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Role;
Key responsibilities of our Lecturer – Maths;
• Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
• Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
• Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
• Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
• Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression
• Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
• Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
Our ideal Lecturer – Maths should have the following qualifications, skills and experience;
• Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
OR
• Have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support, as part of our Passport to Teaching programme
All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students’ attendance, progress and achievements.
