Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Salary: £140 – £175 per day (dependant on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time, short term cover September to October

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and a proven track record of inspiring students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons to students aged 11-18.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, ensuring all students achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the mathematics department and participate in extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain high expectations for behavior and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
