Long-Term Health & Social Care Teacher – Stevenage
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Health & Social Care Teacher to join our partner school in Stevenage for a long-term role starting in September 2024. If you’re enthusiastic about helping students understand the importance of health and social care, we’d love to hear from you!
The Role:

Position: Health & Social Care Teacher (KS4 & KS5)

Location: Stevenage

Start Date: September 2024

Contract: Long-term, full-time

Teaching Focus: You will be responsible for delivering Health & Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students (ages 14-18), helping them gain a deeper understanding of the health sector and social care services.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons on Health & Social Care topics such as human development, health needs, and care values
-
Teach both GCSE and BTEC Health & Social Care courses

Assess, track, and report on student progress and achievement
-
Provide high-quality differentiation to meet the needs of students at various levels
-
Foster a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment

Support students in their preparations for exams and coursework assessments
-
Collaborate with colleagues to support students’ broader educational development
Requirements:
-
Preferably QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
-
Strong knowledge of Health & Social Care topics, including GCSE and BTEC specifications
-
Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Previous experience teaching KS4 and KS5 Health & Social Care
-
A passion for developing students’ understanding of the health and social care sector

Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire students
