As a Lead Practitioner of Maths, you will play a central role in driving the improvement of teaching and learning across the department, ensuring the highest standards of academic achievement for all students. You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing the quality of provision, and supporting the continued development of teaching practices within the subject area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive improvement in teaching, learning, and academic success within the Faculty.
- Collaborate with the Lead Practitioner Team to deliver a shared vision of excellence.
- Monitor student performance, ensuring that all students are meeting their potential.
- Provide accurate and relevant reports to the Governing Body on faculty performance and development.
- Participate actively in the wider work of the academy and contribute to policy development.
- Maintain exemplary teaching standards and ensure that curriculum delivery is of the highest quality.
- Support faculty staff to develop exemplary subject knowledge and effective teaching strategies.
- Foster an environment of excellent behaviour and positive student engagement.
Qualifications & Experience: The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management skills.
- Have experience in lesson observations and providing constructive feedback.
- Show evidence of success in raising student achievement through effective improvement planning.
- Be able to contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching practices.
- Have a proven track record of excellent results at KS3 and KS4, with experience of teaching KS5 preferred.
- Be experienced in high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
- Ideally, have experience of working with governors and in more than one school.
