KS2 Teacher

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Choice Teachers are Currently working with Primary schools in the Slough area who are currently looking for KS2 Primary Teachers for permanent, long-term positions. We are also looking for Teachers to work on a flexible day-to-day basis within these schools for illness and absence Cover.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to Key Stage 2 students, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Implement the school’s curriculum and policies effectively, ensuring students’ academic and personal growth
  • Evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Maintain discipline and manage classroom behaviour to create a conducive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share and develop best teaching practises
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on students’ academic and personal development
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience within a KS2 setting
  • A degree in Education or a relevant subject

  • Prior experience teaching Key Stage 2 students is highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners’ needs
  • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field
  • Experience in implementing inclusive teaching strategies
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and research
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom

Working Conditions:

The KS2 Teacher will work in a classroom setting within a primary school environment. The role involves regular interaction with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians. The teacher will follow the school’s academic calendar and work Monday to Friday on a full-time basis
