We are partnering with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford to recruit a passionate Key Stage 1 Class Teacher. Starting this September, this full-time position will cover a period of maternity leave, offering the opportunity to lead a vibrant class of young learners through a crucial stage of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspiring Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.

Progress Tracking: Assess, monitor, and record pupil development, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full academic and social potential.

Inclusive Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom culture with high expectations for behaviour and learning.

Collaboration: Work closely with the wider KS1 team, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure a seamless, high-quality learning experience.
What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.

Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the KS1 framework, including early literacy, numeracy, and phonics strategies (e.g., Read Write Inc. or similar).

Skills: Strong classroom management skills combined with a patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach.

Commitment: Professional reliability to dedicate yourself fully to a full-time, 5-day-a-week schedule for the duration of the contract.

Compliance: A valid enhanced Child DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo one).
