History Teacher – Oldham (2 Week Cover)
Choice Teachers are currently recruiting for a QTS History Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in Oldham.
This is a short-term position to cover a 2-week paternity leave, starting Monday 16th March. The school is looking for a confident and experienced teacher with strong classroom management who can step in seamlessly and maintain high standards.
The Role:

Deliver History at KS3 and KS4

Teach some KS5 Politics lessons on the timetable

Provide general cover where required to complete the timetable

Mark and assess work in line with department expectations

Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
-
Have recent experience teaching History at secondary level
-
Be confident delivering KS5 Politics (desirable but not essential)

Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Be organised, reliable, and able to integrate quickly into a new school environment

Have high expectations of student achievement and conduct
Requirements:

DBS certificate on the update service

Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS or equivalent)

Two professional references
-
Right to work in the UK
