Choice Teachers are currently working with a Further Education college in Greenwich who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Social Health & Social Care Teacher, to join their team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Social Care Teacher looking for a flexible three-day-per-week teaching role. The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will deliver engaging lessons to students studying Health and Social Care programmes, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into higher education or employment within the health and care sector.
This role would suit an experienced Health and Social Care Lecturer, Health and Social Care Teacher, or FE Lecturer who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching within Further Education.
Please note: QTS is essential for this position.
About the Role – Health and Social Care Lecturer
- Teach Health and Social Care to Further Education students
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to learners of varying abilities
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with awarding body requirements
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback
- Support students to achieve their academic and career goals
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
- Contribute to curriculum planning and course development where required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Have experience teaching Health and Social Care within a school or Further Education setting
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Health and Social Care
- Be confident delivering engaging lessons to post-16 learners
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to student success
- Be able to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
