Choice Teachers is working with one of our Herts for Learning partner schools. They are currently seeking a dedicated Full/Time Year 1 Maternity Teacher to join their enthusiastic, dedicated, and nurturing team. The school is based in Hemel Hempstead and holds the Inclusion Quality Mark and is considered an inclusive Flagship school.

Job Duties:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 students
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the overall success of the Year 1 curriculum
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Education or related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Experience:

• Proven experience teaching Year 1 students
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual and reliable
• Inspirational and able to motivate students
• Initiative to drive student progress and achievement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Experience working in an inclusive educational setting
