Salary: Main Pay Scale (£35,602 to £48,479 per annum) – London Fringe

Choice Teachers is delighted to be working closely with Kings Langley School to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to start as soon as possible.

This position is initially offered as a temporary role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. A primary focus of this role will be guiding Year 11 students through their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition NEA (Non-Exam Assessment), ensuring they have the support and technical guidance required to maximise their potential.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 (AQA specification).

Lead and support Key Stage 4 students through the critical GCSE NEA process, assessing and tracking progress accurately.

Cultivate a safe, organised, and inspiring learning environment in the practical food rooms.

Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour, utilising the school’s established framework of positive relationships.
What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification with a Food Technology specialism.

Experience: Proven experience teaching the UK Food curriculum up to KS4, with a strong understanding of the GCSE NEA guidelines.

Traits: A positive team player with excellent classroom management, strong organisation skills, and a genuine passion for unlocking student potential.

Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to process one immediately).
