Choice Teachers are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bolton to recruit a full-time English Teacher starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming English department in a long-term role running until Christmas 2026, with the potential to be extended.

The Role
- Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
- Assess, monitor and support student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider English department
- Uphold the school’s high expectations for behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A genuine passion for English and helping students reach their full potential

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be able to provide two professional references covering the last two years
- Satisfy all safeguarding and pre-employment vetting checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance
