English Teacher – Oldham | April to July 2025 | Potential for Permanent Role

Contract: Full-time, until Summer (with possibility of permanent placement)
Choice Teachers is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a talented English Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Oldham. This is a long-term role running from Easter until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals while supporting those with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD through inclusive teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4

Raise pupil attainment by using effective teaching strategies and tracking student progress

Create an inclusive learning environment, differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners

Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet departmental and whole-school objectives

Mark and assess students’ work to inform planning and provide meaningful feedback
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
Requirements:
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Degree in English or a related subject
✔ Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
✔ Strong classroom management and communication skills
✔ A passion for fostering literacy and a love for English
