Choice Teachers is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a well-respected girls’ secondary school in Bolton. This is a permanent role starting in September, with the flexibility to begin sooner for the right candidate.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate English specialist to deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be instrumental in shaping a creative and inclusive curriculum, supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Teach English Language and Literature in line with the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum.

Raise Student Achievement: Use data-driven strategies to boost attainment and improve literacy across the board.

Inclusive Practice: Differentiate learning and provide tailored support to meet diverse learner needs.

Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely within the department and contribute to wider school initiatives.

Assess & Feedback: Mark student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback that drives improvement.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated and committed teacher with a passion for English and a strong classroom presence.
You will have:
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field
✔ Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
✔ Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
✔ A genuine enthusiasm for English Language and Literature
✔ Excellent communication and organisational abilities
