English Teacher – Oldham (Easter to Summer)

This is a long-term position running from Easter to Summer, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
About the Role
As an experienced English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping a dynamic and inclusive curriculum, ensuring that all students—including those with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD—are supported and challenged. With creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence, you will inspire students and foster a love for English.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver innovative English lessons in line with the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum.
Raising Attainment: Implement strategies to drive student progress and improve literacy skills.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to support departmental and school-wide goals.
Inclusion & Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Assessment & Feedback: Mark and assess students’ work to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English.
✔ Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
✔ A passion for English language and literature.
✔ Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
✔ Strong communication and organizational skills.
