Choice Teachers is currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in North West London to appoint a dedicated English Teacher. About the Role:

Deliver English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4

Plan and deliver creative, structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

Monitor, track, and report on student progress

Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and intervention strategies

Play an active role in pastoral support through form tutor duties and school life

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and drive achievement
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant English-related degree

Ability to deliver engaging lessons that stretch and support learners of all abilities

Experience teaching English in secondary schools (KS3 and KS4 essential, KS5 desirable)

Strong subject knowledge and awareness of assessment frameworks

Effective classroom management skills and a reflective, proactive approach

Confidence in using ICT and digital platforms to enhance learning

Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing
