About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will have the chance to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 & 4, delivering lessons that ignite a love for literature and language. Whether you’re looking for a full-time, part-time, or temporary position, we have a variety of roles to match your experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach dynamic, well-structured English lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
- Support Student Progress: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them develop key literacy skills.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate and express their ideas.
- Prepare for Exams: Support students in their preparation for GCSE and A-Level English exams, ensuring they are well-equipped for success.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of the English curriculum, integrating creative and innovative teaching approaches.
What We’re Looking For:
- Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and a passion for teaching both.
- Classroom Management Skills: The ability to manage a classroom effectively and create a positive learning environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to Student Development: A desire to inspire students and help them achieve their full potential in English.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching both GCSE and A-Level English.
- Familiarity with new teaching technologies and digital resources.
- Experience providing pastoral support to students.
To Be Considered, You Must Have:
- A valid DBS Certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Two professional references.
- The right to work in the UK.
