Drama Teacher – Secondary School – Bolton (Start September)

Choice Teachers, a well-established education recruitment agency with over 15 years of experience working alongside schools across the North West, is recruiting a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in Bolton.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position starting in September, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role following the temporary contract. The school seeks a dedicated Drama specialist who can confidently deliver, mark, and assess all aspects of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Drama curriculum. A strong emphasis is placed on engagement with practical lessons and student participation.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and inspirational teaching methods.

Maintain strong behaviour and classroom management in accordance with school policies.

Assess student progress accurately and provide effective feedback.

Encourage creativity and active participation in both practical and theory-based lessons.

Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment.
Requirements:

A recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or QTLS).

A good honours degree in Drama or Performing Arts (essential).

Recent experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 level.

A valid DBS certificate on the update service.

A minimum of two years of professional references.

The right to work in the UK.
