Salary: £53,731 – £61,787 per year
Choice Teachers are looking for a qualified, experienced teacher to join as Director of Performing Arts, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the subject area while continuously developing and enhancing the quality of education.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will:

Be accountable for student progress and development across KS3, KS4, and post-16.

Ensure a high standard of teaching and learning across the Performing Arts department.

Provide a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum in accordance with educational policies.

Implement and uphold institutional policies and procedures within the department.

Ensure effective behaviour for learning strategies.
-
Lead literacy development through innovative strategies.
-
Manage staff, financial, and physical resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Engage in strategic planning, self-evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department.

Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective curriculum.
-
Lead and manage a team of motivated staff.

Ensure effective target setting, monitoring, and evaluation of student outcomes.

Act as a form tutor where required.

Lead by example through outstanding teaching.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A strong undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
-
At least two years’ teaching experience with a track record of raising achievement.

Experience in leading others to drive performance.

Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and review processes to enhance teaching and learning.

Strong ICT skills and experience in leveraging technology for education.

Experience in curriculum development and cross-subject initiatives.

A passion for improving literacy and numeracy.

Experience in Assessment for Learning strategies and leading subject-level change.

A commitment to ongoing professional development.
