We’re currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or those passionate about supporting education.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work. No lesson planning or marking is required, but you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across various subjects

Ensure students are engaged and following the work set

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Provide feedback to the relevant teaching staff after lessons
What We’re Looking For:

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A confident and professional manner

Previous experience in a school or with young people is desirable

Degree holders or those considering a career in teaching are encouraged to apply

A full UK driving licence is highly desirable due to school locations and travel requirements
