Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for students aged 11-18 (KS3-KS5).
- Teach programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and computational thinking skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with coursework and prepare them for GCSE and A-Level Computer Science exams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Qualification (if applicable).
- Previous experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary school level.
- Strong programming and technical skills.
- Ability to adapt and engage students of all abilities.
