About the Role

As a Lecturer in Bricklaying, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment to learners of varying ages and abilities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive teaching resources, schemes of work, and assessments.
  • Support learners’ progression through tutorials, feedback, and tracking progress.
  • Act as a course tutor, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in student recruitment, admissions, and promotional activities for the department.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Bricklaying.
  • Substantial, recent industrial experience in Bricklaying or Construction Maintenance.
  • GCSEs (Grade C or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • A Certificate in Education/PGCE/DTLLS/DET (or a willingness to achieve this qualification with college support).
  • Assessor (A1) and Internal Verifier (V1) qualifications (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and IT skills.
