Salary: £28,000 – £43,000

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our dynamic team in a school in Bedford. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering creativity and encouraging artistic expression among students of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and develop the artistic talents of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive art lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and expression.
  • Evaluate and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Organise and supervise art projects, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art education across different subjects.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in art education and incorporate new techniques and mediums into the curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe and organised art studio or classroom.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and various art forms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with a range of abilities and interests.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
