Art Teacher – Secondary School – Leigh Area

Choice Teachers are a well-established education agency with over 19 years of experience, working successfully with a wide range of schools across the North West.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Secondary School in the Leigh area, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Art Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary ongoing basis from now until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and successful Art Department, teaching Art & Design across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

We are looking for an inspirational and reflective teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.


The Role

  • Art Teacher – Secondary School
  • Based in the Leigh area
  • Full-time, long-term temporary ongoing role
  • Starting immediately
  • Ongoing until the end of the academic year
  • Teaching Art & Design across Years 7–11
  • Delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, marking, and assessing will be required due to the long-term nature of the role
  • Experience delivering GCSE Art & Design lessons is essential

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Confidence in planning, marking, and assessment
  • The ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons to a high standard
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or QTLS)
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • The ability to provide references covering the last 2 years of employment
  • The right to work in the UK
