Geography Teacher – Luton

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term

Salary: £150 – £240 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role

Choice Teachers is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Luton. This is an immediate start for a passionate educator ready to inspire students through the study of the physical and human world.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5 teaching for the right candidate. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
Foster a curiosity about the world, covering topics from urban development to physical landscapes.
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high standards of attainment.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent.
A degree in Geography or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school setting.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
