Job Title: QTS English Teacher

Pay: £150 – £220 per day

About the Role
Choice Teachers are working with a variety of schools across South East London who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable QTS English Teachers to support schools on a supply basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate English teachers looking for flexible teaching opportunities, while gaining experience across a range of supportive school environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach key areas of English including literature, language, reading, and writing skills
• Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to support students of different abilities
• Assess and monitor student progress where required
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils
• Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams
• Provide feedback and handover notes when covering lessons
About You
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Experience teaching English within UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Professional, adaptable and organised approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Passionate about supporting positive student outcomes
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
