KS4 and KS5 Engineering Teacher – Shefford
Location: Shefford, Bedfordshire
Pay: £120 – £230 (dependant on experience)
Choice Teachers are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Engineering Teacher to join the team at a school in Shefford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering education, a passion for inspiring students in Key Stages 4 and 5, and a commitment to fostering a love for STEM subjects.
Responsibilities
– Design and deliver engaging and innovative engineering lessons for Key Stages 4 and 5
– Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in engineering principles
– Prepare students for exams and coursework requirements at the GCSE and A-Level levels
– Provide guidance and mentorship to students interested in pursuing engineering careers
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall engineering curriculum and extracurricular activities
Requirements
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
– Degree in Engineering or related field
– Experience teaching engineering at the secondary level, particularly in Key Stages 4 and 5
– Familiarity with the national curriculum standards for engineering education
– Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
