Key TA Responsibilities in Hemel Hempstead:
- Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing additional help.
- Supervise and ensure students’ safety during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities.
- Help with marking, grading, and offering feedback to students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support teachers with administrative tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For in a Hemel Hempstead TA:
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Prior experience as a TA or working with children is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and settings.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A TA qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Driving lisence preferred – The ability to travel to Watford would be advantageous.
