The Role:
As PSHE Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality PSHE curriculum that promotes students’ well-being, emotional resilience, and social responsibility. You will lead a team to ensure that PSHE lessons are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s values and national guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the planning, development, and delivery of PSHE across all Key Stages.
- Develop a curriculum that covers key aspects of personal development, health and well-being, relationships, and social awareness.
- Implement innovative and engaging teaching strategies that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning in PSHE.
- Provide guidance and professional development for teaching staff involved in delivering PSHE.
- Collaborate with pastoral teams to support students’ emotional and mental well-being.
- Organise guest speakers, workshops, and enrichment activities to enhance the PSHE curriculum.
- Ensure the school’s safeguarding and inclusion policies are embedded within the subject.
- Work with parents and external agencies to support students’ personal development.
- Manage and allocate resources and staff efficiently to support the subject area.
Requirements:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Minimum one year of teaching experience, ideally with some leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of PSHE frameworks and best practices in student well-being.
- Ability to design and implement an effective PSHE curriculum that supports academic, personal, and social growth.
- Experience working with pastoral teams, safeguarding leads, and external organisations to support students.
- Strong ICT skills and experience integrating technology into teaching and learning.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment strategies, and improving student outcomes.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in education.
