Job Title: Teacher of French – Permanent Position

Choice Teachers is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, to recruit a qualified Teacher of French for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department and inspire students through engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and ideally Key Stage 5).
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality French lessons across KS3–KS5

Prepare pupils for GCSE and A Level exams (where applicable)

Monitor progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

Foster a love for languages and global cultures

Support departmental initiatives and contribute to extracurricular activities
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
-
Experience teaching French at secondary level (KS3–KS4, KS5 desirable)

Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Salary:
Main Pay Scale (M1–M6): £30,000 – £41,333 (depending on experience)
